Match the numbers. Check the shape.

A useful fit check brings dimensions, measurement labels and the item's outline together.

Use the same units and labels

Write the unit beside every measurement. Compare width with width, depth or length with the matching diagram label, and height with height. Check whether the listed dimensions describe the cover itself or the furniture it is intended to fit.

Look beyond three measurements

Wide arms, a tall or sloping back, and equipment attachments can change the fit even when the overall measurements look close. Note these features and compare them with the selected product's shape.

  • Patio seating: include the arms, back and furthest outside points.
  • AC units: identify indoor, outdoor full-cover or top-cover use first.
  • Mowers: follow the equipment diagram and include projecting parts.
  • Stools: compare seat height, the counter's underside and the full footprint.

Avoid a universal sizing allowance

There is no single amount to add to every cover measurement. Follow the guidance for the exact option. If measurements, fit limits or package contents are missing or unclear, ask before choosing.
